Structure of the Project

The project CoForSet is organised in three research parts as followed:

Understanding the Socio-Ecosystem (SES) of TRIDOM area in the Congo Basin, based on the results of CoForTips, and focusing the research on the implementation of mining projects in the region, and possible ecological compensation mechanisms.

Build biodiversity scenarios that integrate social, economic, governance, environmental and geophysical processes in trading platforms to better understand and assess the impact of industrial projects on critical habitats.

Create interface science / society, anchoring the results of our research in the process of decision-making at regional and national levels, through well-defined impact pathways involving policy makers and civil society to finance conservation actions drivers in the TRIDOM to then generalize to all the forests of the Congo basin.
