The Foundation for Research on Biodiversity, established in 2008, is a scientific cooperation foundation whose mission is to promote and coordinate research on biodiversity at national level. It promotes the development, support and facilitation of research on biodiversity and their valuation, in biological, socio-economic and legal, as well as associated training, awareness and dissemination of results.

The CoForSet project is funded by the FRB, through the call for projects 2013 "Scenarios of biodiversity in sub-Saharan Africa."

As part of the agreement between the FRB and Françaisede Development Agency (AFD) acting on behalf of the French Fund for Global Environment (FFEM). FFEM has decided to financially support the project.
